Reference ROSEN Technology & Research Center GmbH: Less Coordination required thanks to automatic ordering
ROSEN is a leading family business founded since 1981 by Hermann Rosen. ROSEN has grown organically over the past 30 years and is still a technology group operating in over 120 countries worldwide. The ROSEN Group produces inspection equipment for inspection services.

The colleagues in logistics are also confronted with non-standardized requests from the technology & research center. The company heavily relies on being able to make even unusual C-Parts available quickly and to react flexibly to demand fluctuations in the production facilities. Another essential task was optimizing C-parts management to ensure maximum supply security, achieve utmost flexibility in the supply chain and to relieve employees from manual, time-consuming tasks as much as possible.
Objective of the new production supply
- Greatest possible flexibility
- Fast reaction
- Reduction of time-consuming, manual activities
The solution: CPS®RFID
The ROSEN Group in Lingen (Ems) expanded their logistics with the first Kanban system in the Emsland region equipped with RFID technology by Würth Industrie Service. The Kanban system consits of a 22 meter shelf rack with about 1,200 individual storage places and a iBOX® from the CPS®RFID system family. This intelligent pallet box transmits the demand, and thus any reorders of C-Parts, to the ERP system of Würth Industrie Service using the wireless RFID technology.
The implementation:
- Implementation of iBOX®
- More than 870 articles in more than 1,200 storage units
- Fully-automated orders
- Identification of demand peaks as early as possible
- Maximum supply security
